Who came up with the "Mobster In Therapy" idea 1st?

They both had the same premise of a mobster in therapy for panic attacks and they both came out around the same time.

I always wondered who came up with the idea 1st.

The Sopranos came up with it first seeing as the idea started around 97'.

The Don's Analyst came up idea with this. It was in 97 when that tv series on Showtime.

Analyze This and The Sopranos came in the same year which is 1999 but The Sopranos came first so the whole idea mobster in therapy was The Don's Analyst.

I had never heard of The Don's Analyst before. I will have to watch it. It stars Robert Loggia too

The Sopranos pilot was filmed like 2 years before the show actually aired. Tony gets fatter and the kids are noticeably older in the second episode.
