I don't think she was shytty, she was trapped in a marriage with a guy whose ego couldn't handle it when she told him she didn't want to marry him and who then decided to buy her.
Breh, she kept going back to her deadbeat pedo pimp. I know De Niro has some blame, but Stone’s character was shytty: deadbeat mom, almost tried kidnapping the kid, greedy hoe.

I mean, they were all shytty characters if we measure them by normal peoples standards. I just don't think Ginger was especially shytty compared to the other ones. She was a hustler who loved her independence and had some sort of bond with her deadbeat highschool sweetheart and suitcase pimp. Rothstein should have seen things for what they were and stepped back, but his ego couldn't handle not getting what he wanted, so he bought her and told her if things didn't work out, she was free to leave. The result was an unhappy marriage and instead of telling her she was free to go, he wanted to own her and had his goons beat up her pimp. Ginger wasn't exactly marriage material, but the one who was to blame for things turning out the way they did was Rothstein, not her :yeshrug: You can't make a ho a housewife and he should have know that, marry someone reliable and let the Gingers of Las Vegas suck him off in the parking lot. That's how Nicky did it.

Valid point.

I always viewed Ace as being more a sucker for love as opposed to having an unchecked ego, but that's makes sense, considering his casino problems stemmed from him feeling himself too much.

You’re really saying a junkie who tried to kidnap her kid isn’t more or as shytty than her counterparts? :dahell:

Ace isn’t the topic. We all know he was a sucker.
