White Southerners At It Again

Here they are handing Confederate flags/emblems to African-American children. The sad part is that the kids probably don't fully understand what's really going on. All they know is that a seemingly nice white lady is giving them something and making them feel good.

The Tampa Division of the UDC sponsored this float. It was part of the forth of July parade.

And the sad part is that this girl should know the meaning of that flag, what it stood for, and why she should've jabbed that ol lady in the throat with it. But the public school system has failed us time and time again. They only teach our history in February and it usually only cover G.W Carver, Booker T, Fred Douglas, and MLK.

ive seen this in rural georgia (not even 15min from the city).. yes they are brainwashed and no its really has nothing to do with their parents.. its a mind fukk that will leave u speechless.. the kids are just happy to have a trinket and the parent s wouldnt dare speak up until theyre at home..
in the south the racism is blatant and that is somewhat appreciated when youre used to northern passive-aggressiveness..
the cacs will no doubt say "its a symbol of our heritage, there is nothing racist about it"..
and the blacks will say nothing publicly.. gotta go to work on monday

Four Addresses by Mildred Rutherford
Rutherford was one of the UDC's most influential members. She wrote extensively, and you can read many of her writings on the Web.

Dixie's Daughters: The United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Preservation of Confederate Culture
This is an excellent book. It explains how the UDC rewrote history, influenced public school curricula, built Confederate monuments, and helped uphold white supremacy during the postbellum era. It is very eye-opening.


Yet, I must forewarn you that reading these books might greatly upset you.
