Ben Carson: White Liberals Are 'The Most Racist People'

Dr. Ben Carson, a black Johns Hopkins University neurosurgeon and conservative favorite after challenging President Barack Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast, said Monday on "The Mark Levin Show" that white liberals are "racist."

"And you're attacked in many respects because of your race. You're not supposed to think like this, and supposed to talk like this. A lot of white liberals just don't like it, do they?" said Levin, host of the syndicated radio show.

"Well, they're the most racist people there are. You know, they put you in a little category, a little box -- you have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?" responded Carson.

Carson is scheduled to speak at the Hopkins' School of Medicine commencement ceremony this year. A group of students petitioned to have him replaced as speaker after he compared gay marriage to bestiality and pedophilia last week. Carson said Friday that he was prepared to withdraw.

The school told HuffPost Friday that it had heard of no change in plans and said he was chosen for his medical accomplishments, not personal views.

Carson said Monday that it was "to be determined" whether he would speak and that he was going to "wait and see."

Dr. Carson is one of my personal heroes, but cotdamn, he's a total train wreck when it comes to political matters. Certainly liberals can be racist, but this statement here is just...

I tend to disagree with Dr. Carson on a lot of the things he says but I don't disagree with this.
Most of the uproar about him is from liberals who automatically take a stance that a black man is not allowed to be truly conservative as if it is wired in a black person's DNA at birth to be liberal. A lot of white liberal's also take a very patriarchal stance with black people that borders on the condescending...as if the white liberal knows what is best for black people and is the only true advocate a black person in America has to fight for them.

Of course there are white racist liberals. If he just said that he wouldn't have been wrong. The problem is he said they're the BIGGEST racists and he generalized all of them.

Sorry but I think the biggest racists are those who see black people as of inferior status and think the laws should reflect that, resisted civil rights and think the south should've won, commit or sympathize with hate crimes, think interracial marriage should be illegal like half the Repub voters in AL, MS, and LA, have white mationalist ideologies, and are fans of Fox News and AM talk radio. They usually don't tend to be liberal.

He neglected to mention the most blatant, ubiquitous, and impactful types of political racism and thus essentially denied the existence of it, and he said it on a show hosted by that type of racist who caters to a demographic of those types of racist.

The white liberal differs from the white conservative only in one way: the liberal is more deceitful than the conservative
