This is what I refer to as "white plight"

White people see other people struggling (usually by the devices of these very same white people or their ancestors) and they want to feel as though they have something to complain about as well. They twist facts, distort reality and use convoluted statics to misrepresent whatever they find, if they're not flat out lying to begin with. The problem is that they're part of the privileged class and neither they nor their ancestors experienced any kind of lasting, powerful discrimination for no particular reason. That's what makes their efforts here so illegitimate. It's constructed around a false premise -- that white people, who've been "oppressed" by minorities, need to stand up for themselves and "fight back".

most of all the places where concealed carry are permitted, Open Carry is also.

We all probably work with people like this, but they're not bold or foolish enough to delve into such topics as race relations in the workplace.... this is the guy who goes out of his way to speak his mind, and seeks out people who feel the way he does, but lack the courage to say it out loud.

The problem I'm kind of seeing is what you see at the end of the video. Dude was eating ice cream and saying "how bad can we be?"

The dressing this up as something cute and benevolent is the problem. The kinda-trolly dropping in on the black student union and asking them to join in the fight of the black crime problem that they've accused them of being a part of would be beyond infuriating to me but it hides the real mean face of racism.

They just released some study a few weeks ago that housing discrimination is still a very real thing. Racism is still a very real thing in our culture and to portray it as a group of friends that grabs some beers and nachos and then walks around with flashlights is a problem. What they don't show are those dudes with The Turner Diaries and Mien Kampf and an AR in the trunk that the WSU associates with.

The dressing up of this kind of racism makes all that other stuff seem less harmful.
