Which would be a better movie franchise?: Halo or Mass Effect?

It's pretty much inevitable that movies will be released from both, there has been talk about it for years now and if they don't suck (given the track record of video game movies they're likely to suck, but curses are made to be broken...all Batman games sucked before Arkham Asylum and all Marvel's films sucked before Blade) they could end up being the new Star Trek and Star Wars.....if done correctly.


Both games have similar plots....evil space nikkas trying to destroy the universe......reapers/flood......and one super dude who is the universe's only hope to save the day Shepard/Chief..... both have bad ass AI bytches as sidekicks etc.



What would be a better movie franchise on film?

Most likely halo. They were about to make it in 2010 but problems with the production companies involved about revenue I think broke it off during pre-production. Peter Jackson was the executive producer so it wouldn't have been a crappily made movie at all. The remnants of the production team went ahead and created District 9 with that crew and that movie looked great and was well put together movie so the potential for Halo was very high if they would've came to common ground.
