Often this character is recognized as an author insert or wish-fulfillment.

I think Batman is a flawed enough character not to count. Having his power be a deus ex machina generator doesn't make him too perfect.

Batman is the face of Mary Sue comic book heroes, but tbh Black Panther is probably the best example as his greatest appeal (as evidenced by that thread questioning why he's so popular on the Coli) is being a wealthy, super genius, martial arts master African king of Mary Suetopia. That's really the extent of the character though. I literally never hear anyone heap praise on him (especially here) for any actual characterization or memorable story arcs. The fact that you're called a c00n if you aren't on his dikk is more than enough proof that the character is more of an ideal or the embodiment of "wish fulfillment" than an organic, balanced character like Static Shock or Blue Marvel.

I don't dislike the character or anything like that, but I feel he's written to placate black readers (he's basically perfect) rather than to star in and spur any great stories. That's the difference between him and Batman actually, and one of the most telling symptoms of Marvel's inability to write great non-white characters that are also positive.

He wasn't even a martial arts in the beginning. Now you have people saying he can fight Captain America who is an enhanced super human far stronger than any normal can be lol. That's why he's a mary sue. Black Panther doesn't get new abilities or attributes whenever you need to say he's better than another character.

Superman is like the sword of omens, he went from having super strength and flying to being able to do anything, know he knows kryptonian karate lol, that whole fortress of solitude is fukking retarded.

Batman fought superman with an armored suit as an old man which superman could ripped off in an instant yet that is somehow considered a great comic story lol.

Black panthers makes people uncomfortable that's why he's a good character, your obviously upset at such a powerful character being black
