:patrice: In the middle of the football marathon and turkey binge, a discussion came up on classic sitcoms. There were some good choices, but then it got me thinking "which network overall has the best sitcoms?" There are some good sitcoms on cable networks, but the Big 4 (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC) have the real classics that stand out. And I left out the WB/UPN/CW cause we already know they had a GOAT collection between their mergers (Wayans Bros, Girlfriends, Moesha, Jamie Foxx Show, etc).

Easily NBC with Fresh Prince, Seinfeld, A Different World, Cosby..

But I fukks with FOX heavy. Martin, Married..with Children and The Simpsons are way up on my fav list. Actually now that I think about it NBC and FOX are close.

ABC has Boy Meets World, Family Matters, some other solid shows. Roseanne was actually very good if u can get into that.

Outside of The Jeffersons, that CBS list is trash imo :manny:

Unless you want to give extra credit to CBS for pioneering shows like I Love Lucy, the answer has to be NBC.
Yeah CBS thrived in the golden age of TV, but they really haven't done much since then.

NBC had a crazy good lineup just a few years ago. 30 Rock, The Office, My Name is Earl and Scrubs all in the same night :wow:

They all have their lane and they do it well. ABC has the family sitcom on lock, CBS has the paint by numbers sitcoms that appeal to the idiots, NBC has your smarter comedies, and Fox has animation on lock. Also FOX has sitcoms that completely changed the game with married with children, the Simpsons, and arrested Development
