Where would you say Barack Obama ranks among important/influential African Americans in history?

I hardly think Tupac is even in the top 100 most important african americans in history.
There are so many politicians, scientists, activists and others (many who are unheralded) who deserve to be mentioned.
:beli: so you gonna act like you didnt see the word "influential" huh. Pac is NO DOUBT one of the most influential AA's in history

Just off the bat... Louis Armstrong, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Etta James....what's that, 6 people? And that's not even scratching the surface of influential black musicians...

I mean if you ...I guess it's a matter of opinion.
If you think so...hey, cool.

But I don't.

tupac has coasts of people waring with each other. He is one of the most influential artists of all time.

I think that's overstated.
And even if were true, it is sad that anyone would think someone who incited violence between people (your example) deserves to be mentioned in the same breath with the first black president of the United States.

But that's just me.
