Where would Africa be if we showed more unity and appreciation?

When Nkrumah advocated for immediate African political unity but other African leaders like Nyerere were opposed.

The world would be a different place if they just listened to Nkrumah. Rest In Power. :wow:

A South African man proposes to his fiancee at a KFC. Unconditional Love. But a hater appeared on Twitter. Sometimes hate brings a bounty of blessings.

Why don't we have love as a love language instead of expensive, meaningless things? :francis:

Europeans were not unified in 1945.
:yeshrug: thats my point though, Europeans never had a period of unity post roman empire except for a few years during Carolingian empire.

Africas problem was not unity, Africas problem was that slavery basically destroyed Africans economy long term

Selling a tax base/skill force base consisting of people with similar cultural understandings as your own is incredibly counter productive for economic growth

no, wrong question.

where would africa be if they ended the slave trade before the europeans landed.

I think everything would have been different.

Remember Europeans werent unified until 1945
:ehh: The slave trade led to Western wealth and thus helped launch the industrial revolutions that made the colonization of Africa possible.

The house was rotten.

This question's premise misrepresent histoy and human behavior. If a cac said this, it would be borderline disingenuous.

There were/are thousands of tribes in Africa. Most have been forcibly boxed into less than 100 countries due to European interference.

Compare that to Europe past and present.... Europeans have never been united. They spent nearly the last 2000 years killing each other. They just recently stopped. And they have less countries, less people. And keep in mind, while Europeans were constantly going to war with each, the most stable nations at the time, going through Golden Ages....were mostly in Africa or the middle east.

To expect a continent to fall in line with each other is woefully unreasonable. Especially considering an entire other continent (Europe) made it a competition to rape Africa .....which kind of hasn't really stopped. I can't imagine any one uniting those circumstances, at least without there being a massive change in global structures.

Also, West Africa suffered absolute population decline for centuries and Africa as a whole did not have significant population increases between 1600-1900
