Inexpensive Add-on Spawns a New Era of Machine Guns

Popular devices known as “switches” are turning ordinary pistols into fully automatic weapons, making them deadlier and a growing threat to bystanders.

Are you for or against? Should they be legalized?

They're fun as range toys, but that's it.

You can make them illegal, but they can be easily made with a 3d printer.
So? You think the average street dude even knows what a 3d printer is, let alone has access to one? Ghost guns are made by gun enthusiasts not criminals

Bit of a forest for the trees comment

:mjlol:
The point is they're already illegal without an ATF license (you'll catch a "attempt to manufacture a machine gun" charge like if you get caught with a DIAS) and while you may be able to stop them from being aold, you can't stop them from being made.

Leave them the way they are. Illegal without an ATF license. If you want to use one, go to a range that has one you can play with or jump through the hoops to get a license.

So you don’t want them to have more widespread use even though they’re proliferating with current legal restrictions and you’ve stated they’re easily 3d printable?

:heh: What do you want me to say?

We can't make them any more illegal than they already are. They're literally pieces of shaped plastic. They'll run into the same problem they have regulating DIAS devices and 80% lowers.

Just lock up the people who posess them in club fed. Most people het state charges that are very light. Fed penalties are 5-10.
