Where do you go to find sneakers you can't find elsewhere?

Where in the 5 boros do you go to find sneakers you can't find elsewhere? I don't mean, they they're so expensive and exclusive that they sold out, but I mean, where do you find sneakers that the regular stores don't carry anymore. I'm looking for Nike Free Run 2 Black on black (can't find them online), my brother is looking for some older Reebok joints. Where would one go?
