Had a hard time getting fights with big name opponents during the 80's when he was in his prime...he fought guys like McCallum & Norris before they were established names and considered "elite" boxers...never got a chance to prove himself on a big stage against a well known opponent (in his prime). His resume is definitely good enough for the hall of fame when you look at what they've been letting in these past few years...
