Anyone know a great place this book can be found? Thanks

:what:

Whats the point in even looking?

I swear people think these ancient people were "so much more clued in" to shyt or had some sort of esoteric knowledge we didn't or undersatnding that we just can't grasp.

Do you seriously think you'd learn something? Or uncover something?

Not to mention your definition of "original" is complete BS since there was never a cohesive book. Especially when most of it was added over a period of close to 1400 :aicmon: years AND different denominations use different versions (yes even amongst the hebrews)

Hey you anti-intellectual, the hebrew bible has some info in it that was lost in translation when it was converted to the king james and NIV. This is merely an intellectual interest.

The original Hebrew Bible is called the Sefer Torah (the written form) and it only consist of 5 Books, which are referred to as the Pentateuch in the Catholic tradition. The Israelite's also have the "Oral Torah" which they call Mishnah. The Mishnah and the Gemara, rabbinical commentary on the oral torah make up the Talmud. One must recognize that the two main Talmuds are the Jerusalem and the Babylonian. They deal very heavily with the 5 books and the laters writings

Please note that what we call the Old Testament is called to as TaNaKh (an acronym for Torah-teachings, Nevi'im-prophets, Ketuvim-writings). These people have no New Testament in their scriptures, they have a TaNaKh which promotes the idea of Zionism and the supremacy of the house of David hence the prophecy of TaNaKh (Old Testament).

The New Testement books were originally written in Greek, not Hebrew. If you want the Greek versions, they can be found easily. If you want the Hebrew Old Testament books, you should check a store which has Jewish texts.

You were spot on about the Sefer Torah and Tanakh. But the Talmud is honestly extra-biblical literature for a lack of better words, used mainly in Rabbinic Judaism (which derives from Pharisees Judaism).

It is filled with alot of zany interpretations (Such as black people being cursed) which contradicts what the Tanakh actually says (All the israelite marriages to Hamites, Isaiah 19:25) and should not be taken seriously if one wants a clear understanding of scripture.
