With their sales i see not much incentive to do so and they are usually behind the curve on these things and then about 2-3 years later they do it and claim to be the innovators of it. I will say though that they to tend to perfect and mainstream markets they choose to enter such as smartphones and tablets. As soon as apple made a smartphone and then a tablet it became something everybody had to have, thats strong brand goodwill damnit!
So i have my Ipad with the clamcase and its been great for school taking notes reading my text books. But as an accounting major i was really hoping for Excel to one day be available on IOS at this point it looks like Microsoft has no incentiive to offer word for ios.
I like my ipad and its been productive for me but with converible touchscreen laptops and microsoft surface pro out there they might be more useful for productivity on the go. I have a home self builtpc connected to my hdtv so i have access to a full pc with excel and word but it would be nice to have portable options. But i like the simplicity and the multimedia features of my ipad and i don't want to completely leave the ios world like i did with my phone...
so my question is when is apple entering the fullly capable Leopard ipad or tablet or touchscreen macbook happening? I can bet the premium will be insane starting at least at 1500. I can't see them abonding ios for tablets either to be honest so it would have to be segmented above the ipad pricewise.
