When Was The Last Time Graphics Really Blew You Away?

Cyberpunk 2077 max settings on pc had me taking screenshots every 10 seconds.



Before that, the last game a game blew away from a graphics standpoint was Battlefield 3. I was very new to PC gaming at the time and was stunned by that game

Haven’t really been blown away by current gen (PS5 / X) to be honest. Seems like we’re at a bit of a wall. Likely won’t be blown away again until we get true photorealism. PS7 maybe?

Most recent graphics I was blown away by at times was FFVII Rebirth. It wasn't necessarily all over, but the sheer scale at times was mind blowing. Being out in Corel and seeing the Golden Saucer being fully integrated into the world map in realtime with no load sequences is incredible.
