I understand the sentiment meaning be thankful your situation could be more dire and be grateful that you're alive but here's what I thought about.

How do we know that what's beyond life isn't better than the life we are experiencing right now ?

We view death as bad because we are viewing it from the state of us being alive (we have no choice but to) we associate our emotions of sorrow, grief and mourn with losing someone so we assume that they (deceased) must be experiencing the same but that's not necessarily true. Who knows. What happens after death maybe 10 times better that the life we're living now.

Does this make sense or do I need to log off ?
