I eat allot of sweets and I'm worried about what effect it might have on my weight but I'm more worried about what effect it would have on my health...

I'm a very active dude so I'm not really worried about it having a effect on my weight(it has had no effect on my weight)

I'm not planning on stopping eating sweets so I was wondering at what time is it best to eat sweets to where it would have the least effect on my body?

I've heard that eating sweets before major activity is the best way for it to have the least impact on your body?

and to give you an example of the amount of sweets I eat

I sometimes have two cups of ice cream a day or I could eat around 5-10 chocolate chip cookies a day depending on the size...

Post workout I believe. I'm sure spliff would know exactly.
yeah, i've also read somewhere that post workout is the best because that way your body gets energy right away which avoids your body going in starvation mode. not sure if it's real or bro-science so take it with a grain of salt.

also, ultimately, i don't think it matters that much. i think if it makes a difference health/weight wise, it's probably very negligible. i'd say probably avoid eating it right before going to bed so you can digest it better. i know sugar has to do with insulin and stuff like that so maybe look into that.

sugars and sweets have little nutritional value and imo should be eaten sparingly, half the time the craving for them is satiated with very little actual sweets.

half a candy bar is like 100-125 cals and gives you the sweets without too much bad cals in your system

i dont believe in cutting things you like completely out, but you shouldnt be getting more than 200-300 cals from sweets a day imo

Around workout (pre, during, or post) is optimal.

The thing with sweets is they pack a lot of calories for a relatively small serving, and their sugars are high GI causing big blood sugar fluctuations. You'll be hungry in no time, making the possibility of overeating easier and easier.

But if you take this into consideration and have control over your calorie intake then I don't see a problem. You're not gonna develop type 2 diabetes with the amounts you're talkin about.
