When did you find out your Aunt, Sister, etc. wasn't blood (play cousins)

I never experienced this but I know a lot people who have. People growing up calling people "auntie" but in reality it's just they mama's friend. Has this happened to you and when did you find out your "cousin" wasn't really your cousin,aunt, sister.

I have 3 cousins that aren't actually my cousins. Their mom and my uncle was together for like 13 years and we all grew up together so I still consider them to be family.

After my great grandfather died in 2011 my mother told me (out of spite) that he wasn't related to me by blood. Basically, my grandmother had a different father from the other 8 or siblings. When I asked my grandma about it she got really pissed that my mom would tell me that.

It was an awkward feeling and I felt like I really wasn't apart of the family.

My younger brother and I was getting domed off from these two girls that my cousin had brought over

















































We later found out that they were our cousins....






















































































....by marriage. Then, just so happened we went to the same high school

But my best friends kids call me uncle lol. They'll know I ain't they real uncle eventually
