This matchup comes right after the controversy sparked by Cam Newton for pointing out the uneven officiating and late hits he's had to endure so far this season. As a result the Carolina QB has been criticized and labeled 'weak' and 'soft' by everyone from players, coaches to even former refs.
Jeff Fischer and the Rams have let it be known that they plan to attack the Panther's QB relentlessly regardless of Cam's concerns. Fisher believes that Cam may have overreacted to the late hit he received last Sunday. Regardless of the Rams plan, there's no doubt the League will have a close eye on the situation this Sunday
The true matchup today will be in the Trenches. Can the Ram's stout DLine get penetration and harass Cam, or will the Panther's OLine be able to give Newton enough time to handle his business.
