When and how did you first dabble into Online Forums?

A lot of my friends and family don't understand why I'm laughing at gifs and tiny head faces. They think its corny, I say its not meant for them to understand.

Them basketball/Rapper DVD's in the early 2000's put me on to it. Saw Whoo Kidd showing off his Benz and he mentioned he was the owner of hiphopgame.com. I was somewhat familiar with forums from being on BlackPlanet and yahoo chatroom before I was a teen. That's when the net was wild and LIVE :mjgeek:

So hiphopgame(2003)-Ahh(2003-04)-Sohh(2005)-Coli(2012)

I used to play fifa 2004 for playstation 2 online. Actually I was ranked number 1 for two weeks.

Anyways myself and the rest of the top 10 would use the ea sports nation message boards to talk shyt to eachother. "you wont play me.....oh you wont play me" It was all trash talk. I eventually got tired of video games and moved to a Soccer (sports) forum. Got a BMW and started posting on e46fanatics. Found sohh by accident when i stumbeled on the T2K Megaupload thread.......This is pretty much the first Black forum ive ever seen so after reading a couple threads I had the face and have been hooked ever since.

i started on the sporting news site back around '98.

back then you could use all kinds of html in your posts and many people didn't know how.

so the old school trollers would post images, music (embedded on the page), etc., and troll the fukk out of people.

this is back before most sites had moderators. it was a free-for-all and the wild west era of message boards.

after this type of trolling, almost all sites started memberships (signing-in), moderators, locking down user's ability on forums (html), etc.

I was watching Baldwin Hills and then I went on google to find out if anyone else thought that kid was retarded/slow or something and lipstick alley was like the first thing that came up. And then i found AHH like a week later, and lurked on there for a while until it got too dead & boring. Then I started lurking here and finally signed up

forums probably about 2002 or 2003 started lurking, i was into newgrounds.com because they had games and i found another site off their i was a heavy poster at. way i found hip hop sites was a link off the homepage of margaretcho.com to allhiphop and eventually discovered sohh and i was hooked ever since

Used to lurk sohh for album downloads. Traffic went way down so I searched some user names I remembered, and it led me here. Seemed cool so I signed up.

I found nobodysmiling.com in 2006 while seeking free music and migrated to SOHH after that site fell off in 2007 and its been a wrap since

first board i posted on was the ign boards i remember i used to have keybattle raps with a few brothers on there haha this was like 98/99

found sohh in like 2000 i was just googling for a canibus cd and came across a thread about it

signed up and put in a good 12 years

although i stopped posting for a good like 2-3 years in between
