What's your opinion of Barret in FF7 Remake?

Seen a lot of slander to the homie based on his accent and mannerisms, and I can't rock with it.

Breh has too much depth and development to be reduced as a "stereotype". Just because he talks loud ( which he needs to given he is a charismatic leader of a eco-terrorist group) doesn't negate his other attributes.

He's a caring father that puts everything on the line to fight against an evil corporation and stands by his belief, so the critiques are very surface-level, IMO.

What do you guys think?

Yep. After Chapter 12, you see a whole other side of him.

Rebirth is going to expand upon this with the Corel Desert arc.

And a game “not” having any black characters isn’t a problem in itself. Nobody complained there were no black people in Ghost of Tsushima

But when they tell you black people couldn’t exists in their world due to time/geography but they clearly have african art, architecture, clothing in the game draped across literally ALL white people. That’s about as bad a it can get in one of these games

Not denying this at all. It's goofy as shyt. Even playing the demo, they coulda had some non white lookin mufukkaz in it.
