I find my net worth is embarrassingly low. I've only just now started paying attention to it. I own no property as I rent so it is all cash and investments of which I started saving cash about a year ago and started investing about 5 years ago.
On a positive note it wasn't that long ago that my net worth was negative so that's a plus. The debt listed there is just crap on my credit cards of which I'll be paying off. Black Friday stuff and automated bills that post to them.

actually I guess I'm not in as bad a shape as I thought. The average American in my age group has a net worth of a bit over $6,000 and if you exclude home ownership because I don't own a home anyway I'm well in the range of being above average of most Americans in general even some of these senior citizens.
