What’s with people lumping all carbs together?

Like all carbs are bread and pasta. The distinction between simple and complex carbs really matters. I’ve been making an attempt at only eating simple carbs on the weekends but complex carbs are good anyday. I just don’t see lumping vegetables in there with refined processed stuff like pasta.

Carbs are only bad if:

1. you’re not tracking your meals

2. not eating it with a combination of protein

Black Lives Matter is a joke because of people saying stuff like this. Black plight shouldn’t be transformed into a punchline like this.

The intent of BLM may have been noble but BLM was a joke as soon as cacs and alphabet gang coopted it and made it about them and black folks let them do it. :francis:

Yea it’s all about knowing your calorie range and working from their. Like ideally sure sweet potatoes and brown rice are great. But their is nothing wrong with white potatoes and rice.

Also one issue for people with carb focused meals is all the extra shyt they add to it. Don’t go crazy with that stuff if you add it.

Agreed, but all of that assumes your metabolism is slow or your activity level is low. Be a #FastBurner and all that goes out the window.

You can't compare blacks to Jews for a few reasons:
1) Jews tend to stay on code from what I've noticed;
2) There are converted Jews and there are ethnic Jews: pretty much all black people* look black and very few can pass as anything else, while there are Jews that don't look "Jewish"
3) Jews have money and control various industries


As much as Jews may be hated for whatever reason around the world, black people will almost always be hated more, except maybe in countries dominated by black people (so parts of sub-Saharan Africa and islands in the Caribbean).
*not including biracials since they're technically not black

There's really no need to keep derailing your own thread, especially when I don't even know if you're black yourself.

Because the health industry like it when the general public is confused

Too much Fructose and saturated fat is a problem.


But starchy glucose rich food are perfectly fine, even bread and pasta IF you eat some fiber with it

Human body prefers to run on GLUCOSE
The brain uses a shyt ton of glucose the muscles tissues and metabolic process requires glucose and the excess carbs burn off as heat.
It's too metabolically expensive to store as fat to any great degree

Whole food plant based carbs
Especially starches are perfectly fine

Refined carbs for intense, extended exercise are great.

The focus on protein vs carbs in the health industry is mainly geared around sales.

People trying to get swole or fit, lose weight etc don't need to be so concerned about splitting it all up re complex, refined, protein etc.

Calories per day is a better way to look at it.

The only people that need to worry about the timing, specifics regarding refined v non refined, proteins etc are athletes exerting a lot of energy and muscle expenditure/break down.

The secret is to keep down calories in general and work your ass off if you want to be in shape for the most part. It's not complicated. The body will burn whatever it can/has, outside of glucose it doesn't give a shyt, it will steal it from muscle if it has to.

All the keto stuff is a facade for the most part, its just meal/calorie control in another form. That's the answer, there's no secret way, calories in v calories out, work your ass off.
