Daps are a way to mark posts you like without having to give out rep. Rep is limited and you have to spread it around before giving it to the same person again.

Obviously undap is so if you mess up and hit the dap button on accident, you can take it back.

Yeah but when people dap then undap on purpose, it does nothing to your alerts.

Sometimes on my phone, I might hit Dap when I didnt intend to, so I undap. That is the only thing I can come up with.
