Toxic masculinity.

There are toxic aspects to masculinity like gender based violence. That isn’t debatable. It’s real and we should work to change masculinity to make it a more positive force however, more recently I find the term “toxic masculinity” to be a lazy catch all for any and all male oriented behavior that makes people vaguely uncomfortable.

The Alt-Right literal refers to and dehumanizes marginalized people with their vocabulary

yet feminists terminology actually has legitimate history and material basis grounded in reality that can like anything be commodified and co-opted by (white) neoliberalism

the fact you can sit and say they’re almost as bad is not the act of agent but someone who seems ok with the status quo as long as it’s suitable for them and their access

Also Cishet and nonbinary came from LGBTQ people, not feminists

Agreed. I've considered that term to be strictly rape, sexual harassment, and DV. But nowadays, just being sexually attracted to a woman is toxic masculinity. :francis:

I don't doubt that they have legitimate grievances but way too many of them overreact to non-issues.

I'm just quoting social media :hubie:
