Myself. fukk 12(1)!
If I'm sick, I'll take off however many days it takes for me to recover. Working out when your immune system is compromised = no-no.

Otherwise, I'll take off maybe 2 days in a row.

3-4 days rest for each muscle group is ideal ... so depending on how you split it you may lift actual weights 3 days a week. you can go to the gym for cardio and abs on other days

but there are fitness models who also go every day and work one body part a day but as you can see the idea is to give the muscle groups proper rest for recovery

this idea that you have to work your chest or biceps every day or every other day isn't the most ideal way to do it

I don't like to go more than 3 days with zero working out. I've been away from the gym for a long time recovering for surgery. I do notice a big drop in fitness/strength/endurance. You can let two weeks go by and get back into it no problem. A month or more is not good.

I hit the gym 4 days per week (M-Th). I concentrate mainly one one muscle group per day, but I hoop, do pushups, pull ups, chin ups and abs everyday I'm there.

don't like to be out for more than 2 days. Might be overtraining in terms of 'aesthetics', but I'm not really trying to be a bodybuilder anyways. I just enjoy being there.

I took the week off before Thanksgiving. When I was back at home in Houston, I worked out with my uncle the day before Thanksgiving, and I just got back from the gym almost an hour ago. That's the longest stretch of sporadic activity I've had since I've been hitting the gym regularly.

I take off 2 weeks every 3 months. The older you get the more rest your body needs and Ski Hat ain't gonna be your average old head.:cape:
