Back in my early 20s I got fired from Fridays for using the managers kiosk card to comp a free lunch for myself. I went to the Applebees up the block a week later and got hired there.

If I was closing and we weren’t slammed I could get a meal from the back but I was pulling a double so it was kind of in between shifts. Normally they’d let us get a free lunch if we worked a double so I didn’t think too much of it at the time until they called me into the office on my next shift. I was mad they didn’t just call and fire me over the phone.
