In Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Batiatus setting up the Magistrate and Solonius in one swoop. Not a dumb plan at all but it required an insane amount of timing and for an age without household clocks and watches a lot of shyt could have gone wrong and Batiatus could have easily ended up crucified or failing to even start the plan.
