besides the MPK225 having more buttons?

I need a new midi keyboard and i see Amazon has the Mini for $99 and the mpk225 for $250

Is the 225 worth $150 more than the mini and if so why?

Im planning on getting a maschine so the pads don't really matter

Which one should i get brehs?

as far as I can tell the MPK 225 has semi-weighted full-size keys. Plus it has mod wheels.
I have an MPK mini and those keys are pretty small. They are ok to mess with in a pinch (like travelling or something) but I wouldn't use it as a main keyboard all the time. Can't play chords properly with those small ass keys.

Plus it has transport controls(good for something like ableton, but not really necessary if you have a maschine.

If it was your main and only keyboard I'd get the MPK225 over that.

Have you seen the Akai Advance 25 keyboard? its more expensive but that thing looks kinda dope.

Yeah I peeped the advance keyboard but im not really trying to spend $400 for a 25 key keyboard

I would rather cop the mpk249 for the same price

Having professional keys really isn't a big deal to me as long as they aren't shytty

I used the old mpk49 alot and the keys on that were good.

Are the keys on the mpk225 similar or better to the keys on the mpk49?

the mpk mini keys are no good for doing any kind of playing with.
I would cop anything with full size keys over that for sure.

I haven't tried both the MPK225 and 49
I think the 49 is just the 49 key version of the 25 though.
