Personally I have to go with Innervisions, nothing else in his catalog consistently reaches the highs that this album does. Shyt is insane.

Here's how I rate his classic period albums (and Hotter Than July)

Talking Book and Innervisions don't have a single note of imperfection between them. These are my two GOAT albums by any artist, and they were made back-to-back within a year of each other.

If you put a gun to my head, I would have to choose Talking Book, but Innervisions is just as good.

All 6 are so amazing, and are some of the greatest albums ever recorded. Stevie is probably the greatest black musician of all time from an all around talent perspective imo.
