:lawd: imo the 3 GOAT NBA dunk contests.

1988 of course was the Jordan vs Nique matchup

2000 was the year of Vince Carter and had the best dunk contest field ever (VC, Steve Francis, T-Mac, Ricky Davis, etc)

2003 was J-Rich dueling with Desmond Mason and going for back to back wins

I gotta go with 2003 though. J-Rich vs Desmond Mason had me like :whoo: the whole night. They were both doing some crazy dunks. Desmond Mason one of the most underrated dunkers in NBA history

I remember thinking Desmond Mason had that contest wrapped up after the Eastbay he did and thinking that the judges werent about to give J-Rich a 50 for another off the bounce dunk........

J-Rich's final dunk :win:

2006 and 2011 would've gotten consideration if not for the fukkery that happened at the end of both contests. SMH at Blake Griffin and Nate Robinson both not giving Javale McGee and Andre Iguodala their dunk contest trophies :shaq2:

2000, vince had the greatest dunk contest performance

j rich did the toughest dunks even though a lot of them were similar

nique vs jordan was the most iconic

vince to me is the goat dunker

i dont get all my brehs that enjoyed a dunk contest post 2000. VC killed that shyt for me. everyone was approaching their peak of their stardom (somewhat)

first two VC dunks had me like :merchant:

his between the legs with mcgrady (nohomo) was like :leon::wow:

but the best one, that 4th fukking dunk, brushing off his elbow :dwillhuh:

crowd being deadsilent like :whoo:, the replay hit :mindblown:

tracy and francis were both on point in that dunk contest

even ricky fukking davis put on a reverse fukking in between the legs dunk, jerry stackhouse was alright. larry hughes decided to go out of his way to miss every fukking dunk, that nikkas career died on that court that night

AI, Grant Hill, Eddie Jones passing the ball for the alley oop dunks

TNT commentary was the goat that night

If Vince Carter wasnt in Oakland that day, Steve Francis would've won easily

Besides Kobe's between the legs dunk, name one other memorable dunk from that contest.

The only other notable thing about 1997 is that Ray Allen was in that dunk contest[/QUOTE]

only name that matters

:whoa:

not sure about winning easy breh, t-mac would have gave them a run.

can we agree that that dunk contest had the best format though?

the worst was the wheel of fortune retro dunk shyt

You right I shouldnt have said easily, cause T-Mac was doing some nasty dunks too. I think he did like a 360 pump dunk off a short ass bounce pass lol.

Yeah the wheel was the 2002 dunk contest. shyt was awful, they had 6'3 Steve Francis (who cant palm a basketball) trying to do Terence Stansbury's Statue of Liberty 360
