writing and acting are better overall , there is no over the top violence and sex though , but there is still plenty of both, the series follows rome from two side, from ceasers side that is the politics and then from two roman soliders that is the average day side

It's a matter of preference. I'm not Spartacus for the writing. I'm watching for the killing and the titties. Rome was great as far as story is concerned tho.
