My personal fav. is The Shining but I also think if I was introducing someone to Kubrick I would start with Full Metal Jacket and The Shining and maybe Eyes Wide Shut because they have the most relatable and grounded characters (at the start of the movies anyway). I'd never show 2001 as a first Kubrick viewing, it could turn them off Kubrick for life.

It's not the popular pick, but for some reason Eyes Wide Shut is one of my most watched films. Something about the eerieness and deceitful vibe was bang on and I always catch something new each time
