Dslr's are a pain in the ass to shoot video with. Unless you're really going for a very cinematic aesthetic and are willing to put a whole lot of effort into each shot, i would highly recommend just going with a good hd camcorder and lighting kit.

If you with the DSLR, be aware that whatever lens you use with it needs to have a constant aperture (which will increase the price considerably). A cannon rebel with a sigma 17-50 or 24mm pancake would be my recommendation.
