Northland and good mall should never be in the same sentence.
Go to Sommerset my nikka. It's about 30 mins outside the D but none of the malls in close proximity to the city are really worth it unless you just trying to pick up some shoes real quick or hit Macys. Detroit has no malls in the actual city limits.
