last season they brought in some people just to fill up time, but they didn't properly give them a place in the LU-mythology. I want them to have a proper final season just to close up the storyline with the gods. And I hope one of these companies can somehow get Dario Cueto's character. Out of all the wrestlers and on air talent they had, he'll be the one I miss the most.

3 More Lucha Underground Stars Seeking Release From Company

3 more Lucha Underground wrestlers have obtained legal counsel in order to obtain releases from the promotion. According to a report from LuchaCentral.com, Jeff Cobb, Sonny Kiss, and Famous B are all seeking releases from their Lucha Underground contracts.

Not surprised about Sonny since it joined AEW. Don't know about Famous B.

They tried to keep the guys enslaved on exclusive contracts as if they were a normal, touring wrestling company and not a TV show with long breaks between seasons. Since this was absurd, guys started asking for releases, or just working elsewhere and daring El Rey to do something about it. They never upped their budget to support the stars they created, so those stars began seeking opportunities elsewhere.

Really, they just fukked it up. They could've adjusted the contracts. They could've written with a clear goal in mind. They just chose not to. It's almost certainly over. The best thing to happen in wrestling in a long time burned bright, burned fast, and burned out.
