As a Bryan fan I can’t recall one single year where he had the best match of the year nor was he the best wrestler in the world

Dude was great, solid technician and good high flyer st times but where did he get his aura as the best wrestler overall in the world? Is it that Tupac feeling where he leaves the game too soon and people wanted more? Was it because of how left that has people revising who he was as an overall talent? Maybe I missed something idk I’ll gladly admit I’m wrong if someone can englighten me to when he was unrivaled as the best wrestler in the world. Maybe that mania run but even then he didn’t have a match that was on par to his reputation. His moment of winning the Wwe title was amazing but his matches weren’t spectacular.

Maybe 07 him vs morishima was flames but that was 3 years before his mythical Wwe run people love to brag about. Was he ever better then aj styles ever? He may have been better technical then punk but does he have a match better then punks best? How about DiBiase? Savage? Guerrero?

Wasn’t even the best cm punk match that year. Solid match very good even but wasn’t the best of 2012
I’d argue punk vs Jericho or Brock vs cena in the wwe alone were better and I’m more of a bryan and punk fan then brock

So one match of the year ten years ago. I agree that’s probably his best match ever too but when was he ever the best wrestler in the world? Maybe 13 he was great but was he he best wrestler?

And you can make a case that his match vs KENTA at Glory By Honor was the best of 2006.

My main point is that this is a silly exercise. No matter what is being given to you, you are gonna disagree. I'm not gonna change your mind by saying he was the best wrestler in 08' because besides his work in ROH, PWH and other indys, he had one of the best performances of the decade during the 16 Carat Gold Tournament :manny:

Well, no opinion is universal. What he thinks is best will always be the best to him.

He could be right. Maybe this world is not the only world that exists. Maybe this world is one out of many possible worlds. And in those worlds, there is no Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan did not exist, therefore he was not the best wrestler in the world that year. Maybe there are alien wrestlers who were better than Daniel Bryan. There are many possibilities. This is the world @WMG the 2nd has just opened up, and I salute him for making this thread.
