Another scary tool for NSA to use on the populace. (Short term)
Great tool for research and medical scientist ( long term)

It will be interesting seeing the uses that come about with Quantum computers. Already can see them being used in Astronomy, Medical & Health field, the military, and Geology.

Yeah as of now but you never know. What interests me the most about Quantum computers is the mechanics behind the computations that are made when using them. Like Quantum tunneling and superposition.

Moore's law reached its limits.

Quantum computers are potentially the gates to crazy advances in the scientific field. But unfortunately like another poster said, it's taking quite long to develop.

3D means to extend this by layering planes.
