What would you rather have as a standard next gen: 720p 60fps vs 1080p 30fps

I use to not care about framerate but going back to some old games in my library this gen is just . I can't even play it because the framerate hurts my head brehs. Hell I can barely stand to play BF3. In some games it doesn't bother me but in most games my eyes are

So now that we're headed into a new gen I want smoother gameplay experience so I'd be willing to sacrifice some of the graphics and resolution (if necessary) for it (devs should be able to do both but we don't live in perfect world ). How would you guys rather have it though?


Now I know the master race is gonna come in and say neither, you'd take 2042801p/120fps or some shyt. That's not fun. So play along

Agreed. Which is why we won't see it

1080P and 60fps will be possible for the first 2 years or so. Then technology will blow past the consoles and cuts will have to be made, because you know....things do evolve. That's why the console market might be running into problems...EVERYTHING moves quicker now. Even phones, can you imagine still rocking an iPhone 2G @ this point in the game?

1080p will be the standard, and fps will depend on the game. there will be a push for 60fps, especially in multiplayer, but I imagine some games will fall back to 30 if they really want to pour on the graphics

It would kind of be a wash with those two because it depends on the tv you're using and the size of it. But if I had to just pick one, I'd go with 720p with 60fps. To the average gamer they aren't gonna notice a difference with either.
