A show that, in a decade's time, will be namechecked alongside The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad?
Game Of Thrones seems to be well on it's way to reaching that tier, but GoT has been out for quite a few years now. I'm thinking more of shows that have only been out the past year or two.
The thing about The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad was, they had all been going for years before they received the widespread acclaim that they have today. It took until Seasons 3/4 for people to actually pay attention to Breaking Bad, for example. Barely anyone watched The Wire until it's last season. And The Sopranos didn't get much acclaim until a few seasons in. Also Game Of Thrones received a lot of hype when it first came out, even though more and more people have been tuning in since of course.
So what do you think? I'm hearing a lot about Empire and The Americans at the minute.
