Out here in my damn drawls
I went to my ma's house and I was going through my room and found my SAT scores in my desk. I took them in 2009 when I was a junior and again as a senior in 2010

2009:

Reading comprehension: 630
Math: 710
Writing: 610

1950 with the writing portion and 1340 w/o the writing

2010

Reading comprehension: 610
Math: 690
Writing: 570

1870 with the writing portion and 1300 w/o the writing

I remember :smoker: until 3 am and going to take the test with no sleep and just wearing some pajama pants, flip-flops (no socks) and a :flabbynsick: concert shirt and the test administrator looked at me like :comeon:

 Let's see them scores

990...didn't study at all.

Never really wanted to go to college--Dad wanted me to get a degree.

Came out of my shell when I got a job, Spring Break my Junior Year, and stop caring about school.

I was fine the rest of my Junior Year...but, caught Senioristis HARD.

Only applied for like 4 in-state schools .

Worked out well; Graduated cum lande...got that degree.

To add

How I knew I did bad.

Remember; I came out my shell. I was the quiet dude who hung around all the cool/popular kids (most of us went to the same middle school and was in the magnet program for 7 years straight).

One girl--let's call her K--starting flirting with me a lot during my "out-shell" time. And by high school/the mind of a child terms she was way out of my league (I don't believe in "leagues," at the age of 25, now) One day I went clothes shopping and she happened to work there.

We chop it up for a bit and she asks me;

 What did you get on the SAT?

 A 990

:weirdo: Oh...

I forgot what, exactly, she said; but, it amounted to I thought you were smart.

I think I did tell her I didn't study, to avoid looking like an imbecile.

But, that's the only reason I remember my score by heart.

:russ:: That senoritis is real. I only applied to Clemson and South Carolina University because they were in state. My parents pushed for college so I was just like, "fukk it" and just came here. Almost finished and it couldn't be soon enough :wow:

Was the straight edge/in-house type kid, all my life.

First time I was really "hung out" was when I got a job and played baseball. I just stopped caring about school. Never got in trouble and was a smart kid, but, I had no passion for school, anymore.

I actually wanted to go to art school.
