What was the reason Rondo was left off the Olympic team?

I remember he got cut at the World Championships and I believe he fell out of favor with the coaches. Some say he's a "cancer"in the locker room but I could really see him excelling in international play. I'd take him over D-Will any day. What's really good with Rondo being left off?

But I think its a couple reasons, first apparently him and Chris Paul aint cool and Im pretty sure he not cool with a couple other nikkas on there. Secondly they really dont need him (CP and DW are better). So if you not getting along with everybody and your not needed then...

Paul and Williams are better players, he can't shoot and the #1 reason is because he's an a$$hole. I doubt he'll ever be on the US National team.

Rondo's a beast but people fail to realize he has to be an amazing pass-first PG cause he can't shoot. If he had CP & DW's scoring ability then his stats would look different (i.e less "APG"). He's not seeing CP & DW overall.

Rondo has probably the most unique skillset in the league other than Lebron.

They don't need him. Honestly in the future they may start to stay away from so many star players and look for role players like Chandler and Iggy a bit more. It's only one ball.
