What was the general consensus on here for Black Mass?

I watched this movie like 2 months or so ago for the 1st time and while I thought it was good, I still felt like it fell short, like something else was missing but I'm not quite sure. I plan on revisiting it again sometime by this weekend cause the 1st time I watched it, I also cooking so I didn't get the movie my full undivided attention. What did y'all think about this movie?

It was decent. a lot of dudes getting wacked, so it delivered with the violence. Depp was good. But yeah something was missing.

I watched it once totally zoned out halfway through, tried to watch a second time felt slow and inconsistent which is a shame because it has great acting and actors in it but they dropped the ball

Wild boring. I was geeked to see it because I was living in Somerville at the time.

The movie is like a reenactment of the whitey bulger wikipedia page. He's a mobster. Then one of his associates snitches so he pops them. Then another guy rats so he pops them. Over and over and over. There is zero plot in this movie.


This video is 200x more entertaining than black mass and it's Boston af

It was aight. I wouldn't ever watch it again though. For some reason I don't know why it reminds of Iceman (I mean, besides it being about cac crime).



Pretty good movie though
