First CD I ever bought with my own money was "Its Dark and Hell Was Hot" the edited version, being I was only 9-10 years old.Remember printing out the lyrics to Ruff Ryder Anthem off a Lycos Search and bringing it to school and sharpie-ing the bad words ..Oh the good ole days

Oddly enough, I didn't get a CD player until I was 15 or 16. The 1st 2 CD I bought with my own money was Master Ace's Take a Look Around and Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet.

I didn't start listening to rap until 2002. I didn't get around to actually purchasing a Rap cd until 2003 and it was Get Rich or Die Trying. I kinda feel embarrased to have not discovered rap at an earlier age but it is what it is. Don't get me wrong though, I've definitely dug through the crates and gone back to the older ish.
