I’m thinking the 1950s. Too young to be drafted, still running off the wins of civil rights by the time you were 10.

Getting good jobs straight out of high school, more connected to your community. Retire in the other best decade of the early 2000s

Best time would be 1955 to 1965 or so.

Catch the tail end of segregation, avoid Vietnam, set up to go full Wolf of Wall Street in the 80s and stacking paper in the 90s with Clinton.

Those a little younger gotta grow up in the crack era and REALLY high crime rates. Those older gotta deal with Korea or 'Nam.

Late 80s

We came of age right when Internet was coming out and we actually played outside. Best of both worlds.

50s :dead:
Ngl, being an '86 baby is cool because you remember how shyt used to be but young enough to experience the transition to a digital world. We started 1st grade using encyclopedias and were looking up shyt online by high school/college.

The 40’s

To be young in the 60’s

60’s music is amazing to me

To be a kid in the 50’s when the best a Christmas music was made

The 50’s also has the best kid lore

To live in fully black communities with all classes living together

To dress up every day - I’d love that …

Plus

To be young when Civil Rights was happening and to get to change it.

To be 30 something in the funky cool 70’s

40 something in the money over everything 80’s

To experience the 70-90’s and hear the best soul music

And you’d be 80 something now - still alive and you watched the world change
