I was born in 92 so I don't really remember too much about that time period. My folks tell me all the time that my generation wouldn't even last a week during that era. To any OGs on here, how was living during those times like?

Crack was popular cuz it was cheap. Both to make and buy. Really no cell phones, we all had pagers n finding a pay phone to use the phone. Coke was for the rich mofos, the doctors/lawyers etc.

Was good times though, no internet so music was basically radio n goin to ur music shop n gettin tapes n shyt. Run dmc/ll/big daddy Kane etc was the shyt. Magic/bird duels, 49ers

Watching young mj shyt On the league lol:blessed:

Parents could beat they kids no problem lol:mjlol:

In the 80's, people were getting killed left and right...Old heads, young heads, turf wars, debt, robberies.

I lived in the projects at the time and I didn't realize that many of my friends had moms who were pipeheads.

I grew up with Wayne Perry's son and lived in his old house.

I remember the drug dealers would give me money for bringing home good grades. They were one of the first to encourage my positive reinforcement.

In the the 80s I use to live in sugarland houston and wynnefield section of Philly so I ain't know shyt about crack :hubie:
I remember seeing Charles Barkley and Hersey Hawkins every morning on my way to school cause the sixers use to practice at st joes back then
In retrospect i wonder if my mom was trying get at them nikkas or something :damn:
I probably ain't see my first crackhead til the 90s :whew:
It was one of my mom high school friends. My mom and grand mom always use to say she was like the most popular and pretty girl in HS before she got on crack.
One thing that threw me was when combat jack said crack was a drug for popular ppl to use before ppl found out it turned you to a zombie. I low-key think the same thing happening with lean but we'll see

It's a movie called 1982 that got hill Harper and Wayne Brady in it that's good and show the progression of crack on working class black families. Check it out
