i legit was caught off guard by OP's thread title. Saw the shyt and was like, "who is hoku

ehhh Toriyama, in the end, still made a coherent story from start to finish
DB may not have a deep and complex/Robust story as say One Piece or FMA.
But it did what it needed to as a Martial Art Wuxia series which is ---- focus on fighting and make the story just be a vehicle to take the reader to the next fight.
