why would these artist let their shyt stream for free on release day. i understand they get compensation and in some extreme cases 6 figures but why would you want your album sales to compete w/ a free stream from day one ?:what:

theres no reason to buy the GKMC, not for me eat least.

:wtf: how is there NO reason to buy any album? If you like it, support the artist simple as that. I haven't used it much but my understanding of spotify is the free version keeps popping up with ads or something and can only be used I your computer but to have it on a mobile device (phone, tablet etc) costs money. The artists probably get just as much money off there as they do from iTunes sales since iTunes only give them 9 cents a song or somethig

The artists aren't "letting" Spotify do anything. They have no choice in the matter. Spotify is not artist friendly, it's label friendly. The artists (if they're honest) will tell you they HATE Spotify.

Most artist probably make the most off of back catalogue on Spotify, think of the many times you've played a song in the past, now the artist is getting paid for every stream. Seems like a good thing to me. Its not immediate income like an album but if you put together classic material and the whole world transitions to Spotify/Cloud then artists will forever make money from their music.

also for subscribers you pay $10/month which is equal to buying 1 album a month.

It's better then not receiving a dime from youtube plays or downloads. Then again, maybe I don't know enough about the subject:manny:

if I wasn't on 24s, I'd neg you because if you like an artist, you support their work because it's leeches like you is the reason the quality of music had declined and what's being promoted is the stuffs thats only played on radio/ in clubs

but w.e. though do you man, can't hate if you don't want to support your favorite artists and what not. I just hope you actually go to the Concerts of artists you love and not just watch videos on youtube of the concerts

and if you want him to continue to make music and do shows for you to see then you would support him.
