Both shows have you hooked by the end of their 1st seasons regardless which 1 is more complex.which one would be the easier one to get into
Like I mentioned in your same thread from last week:
GoT & it's NOT close. You can understand everything on "The Wire" if you give every episode your 100% FULL UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.
You can't say that about GoT. You gonna need help from having read the books, read info & backstory on the wiki site for the books, Youtube, or etc. to understand everything that is going on.

Game of Thrones is harder to follow. it's characters for days on there......
Eh....nah man. If you read the "GoT" books, or watch the history videos, or whatever, it gives the story more depth but none of it is requiring viewing to understand the show. Aside from having 5 million characters "GoT" is pretty easy to follow.
.
You need to have a relatively firm grasp of real life street and/or police slang to understand half the conversations in "The Wire". Or be very good with context clues.
Yeah, you can understand the main storylines from only watching the show. But to understand EVERYTHING that is going on in the show including side/minor storylines, minor/side characters, references to the past/backstory, Geography/locations/castles, Houses/families/Sigils, culture, politics/society structure, religion, & etc. You gonna need help from having read the books, read info & backstory on the wiki site for the books, Youtube, or etc.
Well this a black messgeboard. It's probably easier for us to pick on the slang & conversations on "The Wire".
